An opt-in is a product or information that you share with your audience in exchange for their email address. This is great for both parties!
Not only does the visitor get a freebie, they also get a feel for who you are and what you sell. Ensure the freebie is valuable, you’ll leave them wondering how amazing your paid products and services are if this is just the free stuff! This is a sure-fire way to gain a new customer.
Since you now have their email address, you can add it to your mailing list. A strong mailing list is vital – a list of people interested and invested in you and your business. These are your go-to’s when it comes to sending out information and updates, exclusive offers, and most importantly new products and courses.
The aim is for everyone on your mailing list to be interactive with your emails, you want them to want to be there! So, don’t go adding every single person you know to your list, however tempting it may be to see the numbers go up. Don’t worry about the numbers! You want people who genuinely support you, your content, products and business and a whole, and are customers in the making.
Because of this, you’ll need to tailor your opt-ins to your target audience! Focus on the type of people to those that already love your content and buy into your services.

There are so many directions you can take your resource list, the selling point is that they’re jam-packed with the best people and places to find out all you need to know about your chosen subject area. It’s also a fantastic opportunity for you to add in some affiliate links and keep that passive income coming!
Now this is a bonus for ANYONE, not just a business owner or individual obsessed with organisation (me!) making it a no brainer. Whatever the topic, a checklist can give your readers a specific goal to work towards and leave them feeling inspired.
