Those of you that know me well, know that I absolutely cherish my mornings. It’s the most productive time of my day, and it’s significantly improved my success rate! Especially at 5am when it’s still dark outside and the world is still sleeping. Pure bliss.

The Secret To Success

Sometimes I fall out of routine, so I love to get reinspired by the TMM Facebook group! Last week when looking up some Miracle Morning success stories, I came across a video. Not by Hal Elrod (Author of The Miracle Morning) but by Jack Canfield instead…

I first discovered Jack Canfield on The Secret movie back in 2006, and I’ve loosely followed him since. He’s written some incredible books and has amazing business knowledge – so I got curious about this video, about how Jack Canfield spends his mornings!

Well, it’s actually more of a video about how Jack Canfield *doesn’t* spend his mornings. He lists top 5 things you shouldn’t do in the morning, and throws in a few bonus tips too!

Eliminate Negative Thoughts

If you wake up with anxiety or thoughts of dread for the day, try your best to nip it in the bud before you start your day. Simply, look for a better feeling thought and set your focus upon that. He talks about becoming a vibrational match to the things that you want to attract. I’m here for the ‘woo woo’ chat!

Don’t Think About What Could Go Wrong

Shift your mindset and get out of your own way! Every morning, try to run through every single thing you’re planning to do that day, imagine it going exactly how you want. Canfield calls this, tending to the day.

Don’t Live Without Purpose

Know you’re ‘WHY’! Know why you get out of bed in the first place. After visualising your day going perfectly, visualise your bigger, more long-term goals. This is a great time to practise your affirmations, too! Trick your brain in to thinking these goals are already completed, in the present moment.

Don’t Take Anything For Granted

Remember to be grateful! Take a few moments to write down what you’re grateful for. This puts you in a state of appreciation, one of the highest states of vibration. Our thoughts are made up of energy, which reminds me of the quotes: “be the energy you want to attract”

Don’t Ignore Your Inspired Actions

Inspired actions are intuitive, just a random thought or a hunch. These often come to me at 4am – my family and friends know them as my 4am ideas, they always laugh! If you have an idea but don’t know how it’s going to come to fruition, don’t panic! Just act on the first step. Liken it to staircase… You wouldn’t be able to fly all the way to the top, but by taking it one step at a time.
